A grant to help you get the most out of your EV
If you have recently purchased or are looking to purchase an electric vehicle (EV) in the next 4 months, you could be eligible to receive up to £350 to put towards the installation cost of a home charging point.

Why should I invest in a dedicated EV charging point?
All EVs come supplied with a 3-pin standard plug to facilitate recharging at home. However, it typically takes 20 hours to fully recharge an electric vehicle using a standard socket which, for many drivers, is far from ideal.
What is an OLEV charging point?
There are a number of brands of charger on the market and here at Norfolk Car Charging, we are approved installers of more than one brand so can help you find the best charger for your vehicle and needs.
How do I know if I’m eligible for a grant?
A Government-funded Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) grant will cover up to £350 for the installation of your OLEV charging point, but what do we mean by an ‘OLEV charging point’? An OLEV charging point is simply an EV charger that meets the eligibility criteria for an OLEV grant.
- You have off-street parking.
- You are the registered keeper or primary user of an electric vehicle purchased after 01 October 2016.
- The date of installation should not be more than four months prior to the date of delivery of the electric vehicle or the date you become the registered driver of the vehicle.
- Your chosen charger is OLEV approved.
- You will use an OLEV-approved installer such as Norfolk Car Charging.
