A safer charging solution for your EV
Electric Vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular on UK roads. By the year 2035, it will no longer be possible to purchase a new petrol or diesel fuelled car, as we move towards a greener future. There are many advantages to owning an EV. They are exempt from road tax, offer a smoother and quieter ride, are cheaper to repair when things go wrong and best of all, they can be re-fuelled from the comfort of your home overnight while you sleep.
Why Choose a Pod Point Charger for your Norfolk Property?
Your EV will have been supplied with a standard 3-pin plug, but using a standard socket to recharge your EV’s batteries will take approximately 20 hours and is not the safest solution.
A Pod Point charger is a practical, safe and convenient solution for individuals to recharge their electric vehicle at home.
Typically, you can expect the batteries to recharge overnight, so your vehicle will be fully charged and ready to drive by morning.
A Grant for Pod Point Charger Installations
Under the ‘Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme’ (EVHS), domestic customers may be eligible to receive a grant up to the value of £350 to put towards the cost of the installation of a Pod Point charger.
To be eligible for the OLEV Grant, you must meet the following criteria:
- Your home must have off-street parking
- Your charger must be OLEV approved
- You must use an OLEV approved installer such as Norfolk Car Charging to carry out the installation work.
